Founded in 1905, China Agricultural University (CAU) is China's frist-class national public research university. It has 14 colleges, which offer 65 undergraduate, 169 postgraduate and 93 doctoral degree majors and courses. in 2015, CAU has 1,640 full-time faculty, 19,208 full-time students, including 11,612 undergraduate students, 4,463 postgraduate students, 3,071 doctoral candidates, and 284 international students. The university is renowned for its agricultural sciences, life sciences, and agricultural engineering.
Among its 14 colleges, International College Beijing (ICB) stands out as a pioneer in China's international education. Since 1994 ICB has been operating joint educational programs with universities in US and UK. It currently has more than 1,300 students, among which about 1,000 are studying at CAU campus and more than 300 are studying in parnter schools in the US and UK. Its international faculty of 60 instructors offer all courses in English.
