Xinjiang Goldwind Science & Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Goldwind”) was founded in 1998 and is the Chinese enterprise to engage in the R&D and manufacturing of wind turbines.
Goldwind possesses proprietary permanent magnet direct drive technology, which represents the technological roadmap with the greatest prospects for growth in the global wind power field.
In 2007, Goldwind was listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (ticker symbol: 002202). In 2010, Goldwind was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (ticker symbol: 2208).
In 2015, the company has developed into the number-one wind turbine manufacturer and overall wind power solutions provider both domestically and in the international market. It has more than 6,000 employees, including over 1,000 R&D personnel, which make up more than 20% of the company’s overall workforce.
Goldwind has twice been recognized by MIT’s Technology Review magazine as one of the “World’s 50 Most Innovative Companies.” In addition, thanks to its outstanding achievements and contributions in the field of wind power and clean energy, Goldwind ranked in the 2014 China Cleantech Top 20 program (CT20) and was awarded the “Industry Leader Award.”
Goldwind’s corporate mission is to “dedicate white clouds and blue skies to the human race, creating more resources for the future.” The company’s products have not only been highly recognized in the domestic market, but have also entered overseas markets in Europe, America, Australia, and Africa.
At the end of 2015, the company had a total of 551 granted patents in China, including 122 inventions, and 188 software copyrights, leading domestic wind power enterprises. The company’s foreign intellectual property applications cover ten major markets in America, Europe, Australia, and Africa, as well as two economic cooperation organizations.
